Sixteen Muslim Brotherhood supporters were sent to four days imprisonment pending investigation in Ben Suef for holding a demonstration without a permit.
The defendants also face the charges of assemblng without permission and possession of Molotov cocktails and fireworks during the demonstration.
The Muslim Brotherhood supporters staged the demonstration in Wasta City of Beni Suef without obtaining prior permission. The demo was dispersed by army forces using teargas.
