16 Muslim Brotherhood members arrested in Cairo, Minya

 
 
Four Muslim Brotherhood protesters allegedly in possession of bombs, Molotov cocktails and Rabaa al-Adaweya signs were arrested during a march in Basateen.
 
Around 50 members of the group staged a march heading to Algeria Square in Basateen. They shouted slogans against the government, police and military. They clashes with the residents, who called on security troops to intervene and separate the clashing groups.
 
A police report was filed and prosecution was notified to conduct investigations.
 
Security services also arrested 12 members of the Muslim Brotherhood for attacking police stations and public establishments as well as protesting in five towns (Bani Mazar, Samallout, Matay, Minya and Deir Mowas) in the aftermath of Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda sit-in dispersals in August.
 
Six of the twelve members were accused of breaking into police stations and public establishments, while the other six were accused of protesting, inciting violence and participating in riots at Minya police stations.
 
The suspects were referred to prosecution for investigations.
