Two people were killed and a third one was wounded on Saturday night, as the IED they were trying to plant outside the civil defense building in Sharqiya governorate exploded.
A source at the province’s security department said one of the injured was hospitalized in a critical condition.
Egypt has witnessed almost weekly deadly bombings targeting security forces and public utilities since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013, with the majoirty of attacks claimed by extremist groups.
