23 Brotherhood members sentenced 15 years in prison over rioting

Damietta Criminal Court sentenced on Saturday 23 Muslim Brotherhood members to 15 years in rigorous imprisonment over joining illegal group and rioting.

The suspects were accused of possessing unlicensed weapons, attacking public and private properties, insulting police and military, hindering traffic and blocking road.

The suspects include former MP Mohamed abu Moussa, Rabie abu Eid, the group’s mufti in Damietta, and Magdy Tawfiq Mazhar, a group leader.
