Nasr City Misdemeanors Court on Thursday sentenced 40 Al-Azhar University students, including two minors, to a year and a half in prison for staging riots in the area in October.
Defendants faced 24 charges, including murder, attempted murder, possession of knives and ammunition, joining a terrorist organization, disturbing security and public peace, resisting arrest, blocking roads and destroying public property.
