The Long Live Egypt Fund distributed five tons of sugar, donated by the Egyptian community in Austria, Friday to families in need, in cooperation with the Beheira Governorate local authorities.
Beheira governor Nadia Abdou, Major General Sayyed Saeed and a number of representatives from the Long Live Egypt Fund oversaw the distribution process.
Abdou said that the five tons of sugar were distributed between 30 districts in the governorate, including six orphanages.
The governor stated out that the donations reached the most needy classes in the province, with two to three kilos of sugar per family. She thanked the Long live Egypt Fund and expressed her gratitude for the continued support of the Fund and its efforts to implement service projects in the governorates, especially Beheira governorate.
Initiatives in the governorate have included campaigns to fight Hepatitis C, conducted within the poorest villages, as well as projects for the house development and distribution of food commodities.
She also thanked the Egyptian community in Austria for supporting their country.
