The “Who Loves Egypt Campaign” has revealed that 50 percent of the total 33,000 villages and hamlets in Egypt are deprived of drinking water, with 87 percent of them also deprived of sewage services.
The campaign said villagers are living in subhuman conditions, noting that they wash their clothes and cooking utensils in canals and that most of them have contracted diseases as a result.
It called on Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly to make it his priority to help those villages.
