Three buses collided on the Ismailia-Zagazig highway on Tuesday, injuring at least 55 workers. The accident was attributed to dense fog on the road.
The buses belonged to an investment company and were carrying company workers. Investigations revealed that the first bus collided with a tree, while the second fell into the Ismailia water channel. The third bus fled after the accident.
A source at the Ismailia ambulance facility said that the number of injured people who have been transferred by ambulance has so far reached 55.
According to Hassan Darwish, Director of the Ismailia Ambulance Facility, the injured were transferred to a chest hospital in Ismailia for treatment, their injuries varying between bruises, abrasions, and fractures.
