Mohamed Sherine Fahmy, a judge delegated from Cairo Appeal Court, has referred 60 judges to disciplinary board, demanding their dismissal after investigations showed their support for the Muslim Brotherhood through signing on a statement on 24 July 2013 during the Rabaa al-Adaweya sit-in.
Investigators say other figures like Central Auditing Organization Hesham Geneina, former Justice Minister Ahmed Mekki and his brother Mahmoud Mekki, former vice-president, held a meeting where they planned the drafting of the statement.
Fahmy will order investigations to be resumed into the non-justice figures within the coming few days after end of investigations with the judges.
