Egyptian embassy in Cameroon's capital Yaoundé declared on Monday the results of the referendum on constitution.
Eighty-three percent approved the constitution, said Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon Sherif al-Leithy. 10 voters approved the constitution, while two voted no in addition to a null vote.
Leithy attributed the low turnout to presence of Egyptians based in Cameroon at far areas, which makes it hard for them to move to Yaoundé to cast their ballots.
