Former President’s advisor says ‘coup government’ killed more than 3,000 Egyptians

Cairo University Political Sciences Professor Seif abdel Fattah, former advisor of ex-President Mohamed Morsy, said on Saturday, “accomplishments of the military coup governments included murder of more than 3,000 Egyptians who were guilty of nothing other than opposing the coup.”

On Facebook, abdel Fattah said, “Among the accomplishments too, arresting thousands of anti-coup Egyptians,” adding that the current government should be removed.

He also added Egypt faces “fascist military and oppressive police state” but Egyptians will offer anything to prevent return of ex-President Hosni Mubarak’s regime.

Abdel Fattah earlier said that pro-legitimacy protests had swept Egypt and revolutionary anger had spread to all governorates.

In a phone call with Al-Jazeera Mubasher Masr satellite TV channel, abdel Fattah said on Friday that the day’s protests expressed popular energy, which is signifies that Egyptians are a great people who has will and can determine its destiny.
