Tanta Criminal Court on Tuesday postponed the trial of nine political activists, arrested on charges of rioting and attempting to break government facilities.
In the trial, which was pushed to 7 December, defendants are accused of trying to storm the Gharbiya Security Department and governorate headquarters while ousted President Mohamed Morsy was still in power.
During the trial, hundreds took part in the protest, which was staged by political powers in front of the court complex. The protesters carried photos of the arrested activists, lit flares and chanted against the Muslim Brotherhood.
