The 70-year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Russia will be commemorated at the Opera House next Wednesday.
The program includes erecting a statue of the renowned Russian composer Tchaikovsky in the Opera garden, in addition to the opening of an art exhibition featuring the work of a group of Egyptian and Russian artists.
Musicians and singers from both countries and the Cairo Opera Ballet will perform acts as well.
Former Culture Minister Gaber Asfour will also hand over a letter of gratitude from the Egyptian people directed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his “positive attitude” toward the 30 June protests.
