Clashes erupted on Monday between Brotherhood students in Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Engineering and security forces.
Police fired tear gas canisters to disperse the students, who responded by throwing stones at them and setting tires on fire.
Students blocked Mostafa al-Nahas Street, and security forces later re-opened it.
