Ibrahim Mehleb, the tasked with forming the government, said on Tuesday that the new Cabinet would be one of “fighters” that would work day and night to serve the people.
He met with the interim president on Tuesday and informed him of the priorities that the government would begin with, especially the completion of the roadmap.
He said the interim president will choose the ministers of the “sovereign” ministries, particularly the Ministry of Defense.
He added that the new government would complete the work of the previous one. “We stand together to serve Egypt and the will of the people,” he said. “We will create an atmosphere of transparency and stability to achieve the second step of the roadmap, which is the election of the president.”
