Leaders of the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL) said on Tuesday that they would launch an international campaign, accusing Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of conspiring against the country.
The campaign would file lawsuits with international courts to accuse Sisi of mass massacres so as to withdraw his legitimacy.
Ashraf Badr Eddin of the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party said lawsuits have already been filed, holding Sisi responsible for the killing of protesters during the dispersal of the Rabaa al-Adaweya sit-in and other demonstrations since 3 July.
“We are not filing lawsuits before Egyptian courts,” he said. “This is up to the families of the victims to do.”
NASL leading figure Moaz al-Khatib claimed the current second revolutionary wave paves the way to ending the military coup.
