Foreign Ministry spokesperson Badr Abdel Aaty called on Israel to exercise utmost restraint and not escalate the situation with Palestine before things get out of hand.
The news came amid reports that Israel is planning to extend security operations in the West Bank in response to the kidnapping of three Israeli citizens.
Israel had arrested many Palestinians after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused them of kidnapping Israelis, a charge Palestinians deny.
