Egypt is safe, said Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb Sunday, adding he feels secure everywhere thanks to the armed forces and police.
Mehleb pointed out that the security situation in Sinai does not concern him.
The PM made his statement while inspecting the social housing project in Tur City, South Sinai, accompanied by the governor of North Sinai Khaled Fouda.
"South Sinai is witnessing real development and the country began to recover," Mehleb added.
Sinai witnessed terrorist attacks that led to the death of dozens of security forces since the ouster of President Mohamed Morsy in July 2013.
The attacks had a negative impact on tourism as a number of countries warned its nationals against heading to Egypt. Travel bans though have been gradually lifted in recent weeks.
Clashes occurred between pro-Morsy protesters and security forces on the anniversary of Rabaa and al-Nahda squares sit-ins dispersal.
Eight protesters and a policeman were killed.
