Egypt’s stock market closed on a high note on Sunday prompted by intensive buying from foreign investors.
EGX30, the main index, rose by 0.76 percent reaching 9723.49 points, which is the highest in more than 74 months. The small and medium-sized index EGX70 increased by 0.14 percent reaching 660.8 points. The broader EGX100 increased by 0.83 percent reaching 1181.2 points.
Market capitalization gained nearly LE1.2 billion, moving up to LE530.4 billion, compared to LE529.2 billion last week. The total value of transactions stood at LE700.9 million.
