The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Counter-terrorism Unit on Monday warned citizens from traveling to certain destinations, including Sinai, the south of Thailand, the disputed Kashmir region between India and Pakistan and the islands of Mindanao in the Philippines during the Jewish holidays of next week because they pose a serious threat to Israelis.
They advised the Israelis who are already in those places to leave immediately.
The Maariv newspaper said the Counter-terrorism Unit also warned Israelis of going to Turkey unless absolutely necessary and called for extreme caution during their travels in Europe in anticipation of being targeted by terrorist organizations, similar to the bombing of the Jewish Museum in Brussels.
It said global jihad against Israelis has increased against the backdrop of the Israeli war on Gaza.
