EGX30 Index ends steady, losing LE14.4 billion in a week

The Egyptian Exchange ended the week in the green with the EGX30 Index rising 0.41 percent to record 9,258.18 points on a total turnover of LE539 million.
 
During the course of the week, the benchmark index EGX 30 remained unchanged, said a weekly report issued by the Egyptian Exchange.
 
Meanwhile, EGX market capital lose LE14.4 billion to close at LE525.08 billion, compared to LE539.5 billion the week before. This decline in market capitalization during the week came as a result of the decline of the heavyweight shares.
 
In Thursday's season, local institutions were net buyers at LE30.26 million, while Arab and foreign institutions were net sellers recording net flows of LE4.07 million and LE3.75 million respectively.
 
Arab retail investors closed as net buyers, recording LE6.69 million as opposed to Egyptian and foreign retail investors that were net sellers at LE27.94 million and LE3.75 million respectively.
