An EgyptAir van crashed on Sunday into a standing airplane at Cairo International Airport.
The accident caused damages at the airplane’s engine. The vehicle’s driver was injured and taken to hospital.
A source from the airport said security forces, civil protection personnel and ambulance rushed to the scene of the accident once the van crashed into the parked plane.
Hesham al-Nahhas, EgyptAir chairman, said in press remarks that the parked plane was not included in the flight schedule, and did not cause the accident.
Nahhas said he called for a medical examination for the driver to make sure whether he fainted during work or suffers diabetes or not.
