A conscript was killed and another injured on Sunday in a fire that broke out at the Central Security camp, located in Al-Shallal area, south of Aswan city.
Civil protection troops were able to extinguish the fire before it reached the rest of the camp.
Major General Mohamed Mostafa, Aswan security chief, was notified by the camp administration of the fire that broke out on Sunday.
Investigators pointed to an electric shortage as the cause of the fire.
