Midterm elections will take place at the headquarters of the Journalists' Syndicate on Friday.
Six candidates are running for the syndicate chief post, while another 50 candidates are running for membership of the syndicate board.
The election process took place earlier this month but was postponed to 20 March as general assembly failed to meet the necessary quorum to hold the vote.
According to law, board members hold seats for a total of four years. Half of the members are elected every two years, thereby setting a two-year elections schedule rotating between each half of the board.
