An armed forces recruit was shot south of Rafah city, North Sinai on Saturday.
Security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm that a sniper shot the recruit in the jaw while he was at a security ambush in Rafah.
The recruit was transferred to Arish public hospital for treatment. Investigation authorities were notified.
