"Hunger Games" stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth unveiled Thursday a new trailer and poster for the dystopian franchise's finale, due out in November.
The Katniss Everdeen actress and her hunky co-star appeared together at the Comic-Con pop culture festival in San Diego.
The series, adapted from the teen-friendly novels of Suzanne Collins, tells the story of Everdeen's battle to survive in a reality TV-style life-and-death game in a post-apocalyptic future state.
In last year's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1" she not only battled for her life, but became the symbol of the revolution.
In the finale she tries to lead the rebellion against the totalitarian government of District 13. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2" is due out on November 20 in the United States.
Fans at Comic-Con got the first look at a movie poster, showing Lawrence in a red leather costume seated on a white throne, as well as a trailer showing her character on the offensive.
"She was a young girl trying to survive," said Lawrence. "I don't think she really wanted a war. The whole movie is about how it is important to avoid something like that."
Producer Nina Jacobson meanwhile said that "Hunger Games" shows that "once you disrupt the story the Establishment wants, anything can happen.
"Over the course of this revolution, who is in charge of the media and what you do with it become important to the outcome," she added.
"Pursuit of truth and defiance of the system… creates change, but doesn't come easily," she added.
The three "Hunger Games" films that are out so far – the original in 2012, "Catching Fire" in 2013 and last year's "Mockingjay Part 1" – have grossed more than US$2.3 billion (RM8.72 billion) worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
