A court in Shebin El Kom, Monufiya turned down a lawsuit filed by businessman Ahmed Ezz against a decision to exclude him from running in the coming parliamentary elections.
The administrative court upheld the decision of the elections committee which said he could not run in elections as he did not have a valid postal account for election campaigning expenditures.
His accounts are frozen pending a prosecutorial decision on former cases.
Egypt plans to hold parliamentary polls in October and November.
