Actor Mohamed Ramadan has finally completed two years of preparations for his play "Raees Gomhoriyet Nafso" (President of his own republic).
The first performance in Cairo will take place at 10 pm at the Maiami Theater on Thursday, October 29.
The play garnered unprecedented success in Alexandria as it generated LE42,000 a day, according to Ramadan, who expects similar success in Cairo.
The play stars Donia Abel Aziz, Shams, Hesham Atwa and Ali Abdel Rehim, and is based on the Mikhael Roman novel "al-Dokhan" (The Smoke).
Ramadan is currently preparing for the TV series "al-Ostura", written by Mohamed Abdel Aaty and directed by Mohamed Samy. Ramadan said he has shot 10 episodes of the series so far.
