The Ministry of Health and Population announced on Wednesday the killing of three people and injury of 43 others in three separate traffic accidents in the governorates of Daqahlia and Beheira.
The first incident took place at Mit Zankar village in Daqahlia governorate after a bus overturned, killing one citizen and injuring 12 others, according to the ministry's statement.
Ahmed al-Ansary, head of the Ambulance Organization, said the body of the deceased and the injured were transported to the Belqas General Hospital and the International Hospital in 6 ambulances that arrived at the scene of the accident within minutes.
The injured suffered from fractures, concussions and bruises, he added.
A pickup truck overturned on Senbelawin road in Daqahlia, killing one man and injuring 10 others who were transferred to Senbelawin Central Hospital in 3 ambulances.
The third accident occurred on the Edfina-Mahmoudeya road in Beheira, as a school bus collided with a truck killing one and injuring 21 others.
The victims were transferred to Metobas Central Hospital, Alexandria University Hospital and Rashid Central Hospital. Some cases were admitted to the intensive care units, said Khaled Megahed, the spokesperson for the Health Ministry.
