The armed forces have killed eight extremists in northern Sinai.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Egyptian Armed Forces said security personnel had killed eight armed extremists and arrested four of their collaborators, including the brother of a wanted and dangerous extremist.
The statement also announced that a store of bombs and several buildings used as hideouts by the terrorists had been were destroyed.
