Egypt’s junior weightlifting team won multiple medals on Sunday in the Arab Weightlifters’ Championship being held in Cairo from December 8-14.
Egyptian weightlifter Abdel Rahman Ali won three gold medals in the under-17 55-kg competition, while Egyptian weightlifter Mahmoud Shokri won three gold medals in the under-20 55-kg competition.
Abdel Rahman Wahed also won three gold medals, and Helmi Abdel Bari won three silver medals in the 49-kg competition.
Meanwhile, female weightlifters Manar al-Sayed and Samah Abden each won three gold medals in the 40-kg and 45-kg competitions, respectively.
