Security forces in Borolos district, Kafr al-Sheikh have prevented representatives of Karama candidate, Hamdeen Sabbahi, and several Muslim Brotherhood candidates from accessing polling stations, primarily at locations where Sabbahi’s supporters have turned out in droves.
Police escorted Sabbahi's supporters out of the polling stations after they were permitted entry earlier in the morning.
Representatives of Ali al-Sheshtawy, MB candidate vying for the district's workers seat, were also denied access for not possessing required documenatation
Sabbahi is competing against National Democratic Party candidate Essam Abdel Ghaffar for the professionals seat.
Representatives of Brotherhood candidates with official power of attorney were equally denied access in Cairo's Nasr City and Giza's Dokki and Agouza districts.
