A total of 16 people were killed and 100 injured throughout Egypt during Sunday’s parliamentary elections, according to security sources.
The same sources noted that the causes of death were mainly heart attacks and diabetic comas suffered during clashes between supporters of rival candidates.
Most clashes took place outside local polling stations, the sources added.
