The Administrative Court is being postponed until April 13: hearing the lawsuit demanding the revocation and freezing of Vodafone Egypt’s license for breaching the level of service.
The lawsuit demands imposing judicial custody on the company and the formation of a committee to manage it to ensure the level of service.
The lawsuit demanded that users be compensated for poor service, especially as it caused financial losses to the company’s users due to lost calls and a collapse in network quality.
The lawsuit said that the mobile phone numbers of Vodafone users are out of service most of the time.
This caused public condemnation, adding that Article 27 of the Telecommunications Regulatory Law stipulates that the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has the right to cancel the approval of the license for the network and mobile services in the event of a breach in the level of service.
On Wednesday a representative of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Vodafone Egypt lawyer attended the court session.
He argued that the plaintiff had transferred his mobile phone line to another telecommunications company after losing hope in the quality of the Vodafone network permanently.
He demanded the revocation of Vodafone Egypt’s license based on Article 27 of the Telecommunications Regulatory Law.
