The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expected, Monday, high temperatures to continue until the end of next week, reaching 36C in Greater Cairo.
The continuing rise in temperatures is due to being affected by India’s seasonal depression, which causes high humidity levels, Manar Ghanem, a member of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s media center, said, in a telephone interview on the Egyptian Channel One.
During the late night hours, fog forms in places close to water channels, she added.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will rise on Monday and reach two meters high, specifically in Salloum, Matruh and a-Alamein, Ghanem said, warning vacationers.
She pointed out that high waves though will not affect maritime navigation in the Mediterranean and Red seas.
