The Senate, under Abdel Wahab Abdel Razaq, Sunday approved Egypt’s Digital Fund bill that was submitted by the government.
The bill aims to facilitate services and speed up the completion of the required procedures and services through the creation and simplification of an electronic digital system.
It also aims to provide the necessary administrative and organizational advice and technical support required to ensure the success of the proposed fund.
The bill aims to activate and promote digital society services, support and develop the mechanisms of the digital transformation system, develop them and ensure their sustainability, as well as support the various state sectors to implement relevant plans and initiatives, spread awareness of digital services, and provide economic returns and financing means that enable the state sectors to provide their services in an optimal manner.
The bill also aims to eradicate digital illiteracy, urging citizens to switch to digitization in all their transactions, without any additional financial burdens.
