Media outlets on Friday announced the death of the director of Al-Wafa Hospital for the Elderly in the Al-Zahraa area, and the wounding of other doctors following an Israeli bombing that targeted the hospital.
The US State Department justified Israel’s bombing of hospitals, claiming that Hamas “uses the hospitals to hide its fighters and dig tunnels underneath them.”
US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated, “We never said that there are Hamas command bases in all hospitals, but some hospitals do.”
“We have no reports indicating that Israel has violated international laws in its war in Gaza, and we expect Israel to fulfill its obligations, and we always talk to it in this regard.”
