Israeli army storms several towns in the West Bank

Israeli forces stormed several towns in the occupied West Bank at dawn on Wednesday, according to Palestinian media.

Local sources told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that “Several Israeli military vehicles stormed Sayr, Kafr Jamal, and Jayus, and toured several neighborhoods and streets, without reporting any arrests.”

The sources indicated that the soldiers also raided the home of a citizen in Kafr Jamal.

A large force from the Israeli army also stormed the town of Atara, north of Ramallah, on Tuesday evening.

Local sources told WAFA that roughly 30 military vehicles, accompanied by bulldozers, entered Atara at the same time as Israel closed the two entrances to the town with military checkpoints.

The sources explained that the forces were headed towards the house of detained nurse, Mourid Mahmoud Dahadha, and began procedures for demolishing it.

In April, the army announced its intention to demolish the house of detainee Dahadaha, in prison since January 8, on the grounds that he participated in a shooting operation that took place in January east of Ramallah.

Eyewitnesses reported that the forces tried to prevent citizens from leaving their homes in the town by opening fire at them.

Vehicles trying to approach the checkpoint at the entrance to the town were targeted with live ammunition and sound bombs, though no injured were reported.
