PM attends opening of 48th session of Council of Arab Central Banks

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly attended Monday the opening of the 48th regular session of the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities’ Governors.

The annual meetings are held in Cairo under the auspices of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and in the presence of governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah.

The opening session today will focus on the monetary policy amidst a state of uncertainty due to successive shocks and repercussions of the private sector’s debt.

Participants will also probe regulations of artificial intelligence applications in the financial sector.
