The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of active north-eastern winds on Tuesday, with speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour that will continue until 11 pm.
The EMA added in a statement that these winds will be on coastal areas, especially Alexandria and the northern coasts, which may stir up dust and sand in some exposed areas.
This activity will also disrupt maritime navigation in the Mediterranean and Red Seas, with wave heights range between 2.5 and 3.5 meters, which requires caution.
The EMA called on citizens to avoid going out in open areas during the time of dust-raising winds, and to wear clothes suitable for the moderate daytime weather and cold nights, especially in Upper Egypt.
The authority called also for driving carefully due to the possibility of reduced visibility because of sand on the roads, while avoiding marine activities due to the turbulence and height of the waves.
