The Israeli army announced Friday, the killing of two officers and 3 soldiers and the injury of 20 in clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, bringing the occupation’s losses to 10 soldiers within 24 hours.
26 soldiers were killed since the beginning of its ground operation in Lebanon earlier this month, according to the Hebrew newspaper “Yediot Aharonot”.
According to the Israeli newspaper, the 5 soldiers who were killed by a rocket that exploded near a building in the central sector in southern Lebanon, belonged to the 8th Armored Brigade, which operates under a combat team from the 3rd Brigade “Alexandroni”.
Hezbollah continues its military operations, targeting Israeli army concentrations and countering incursions by Israeli forces, in addition to shelling Israeli sites, including Tel Aviv.
Since September 23, Israel has expanded its aggression to include most Lebanese regions, including the capital Beirut, especially in its southern suburbs, through air raids, in addition to ground incursions in the south.
