“100 Nights of Hero” is based on the graphic novel of the same name published in 2016 by British comic book writer Isabel Greenberg, directed by Julia Jackman.
It tells the story of Hero and Sherry, two women forced to tell stories to save their lives from the wicked suitor Manfred.
Masry screened the film In Camera a few days ago in the “Special Screenings” section of the Cairo International Film Festival in its 45th edition this year.
And al-Masry is currently filming the movie “Giant”, which tells the story of the boxer Naseem Hamed’s rise from the working-class streets of Sheffield to become a boxing champion, all while facing Islamophobia and racism in the 1980s and 1990s in Britain.
