The Director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital, Hossam Abu-Safiya, announced on Saturday that Israeli forces have directly targeted the hospital without prior warning, raising concerns about the safety of patients and medical staff.
Abu-Safiya confirmed in statements to the Al-Ghad satellite channel that Israel demanded the evacuation of the hospital within the coming hours, even though the administration is unable to transport patients and the wounded due to the lack of safe transportation means or ambulances.
The director of field hospitals in Gaza, Marwan al-Hams, told Al-Ghad satellite channel: “Protection must be provided to Kamal Adwan Hospital and the occupation army must be asked to withdraw from its surroundings.”
Hams added: “There are no available capabilities to transfer patients and wounded from Kamal Adwan Hospital to the Indonesian Hospital.”
