Turkish company to open new investments in Egypt worth US$50 million

Turkish Ambassador to Cairo Salih Mutlu Şen said on Saturday that his country attaches great importance to industrial and technological cooperation with Egypt, as part of the advanced relations binding them together.

The Turkish ambassador said that this decision reflects the Turkish government’s will to increase cooperation with Egypt, referring to “adopting a strategy for the growth of economic relations between the two countries.”

This came during meeting held by the Turkish Ambassador to Cairo with “Bony Socks”, one of the leading Turkish companies in socks, which announced the opening of strategic investments in Egypt at a total cost of US$50 million, targeting exports.

The Turkish diplomat said that these investments are a result of the rapid development witnessed by Egyptian-Turkish relations, in light of the Egyptian state’s interest in Turkish investors.

Mutlu Şen explained that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi attaches special importance to Turkish investors, and that the meeting held by President Sisi with 22 foreign investors during the recent period included five Turkish investors, which “clarifies the extent of the priority that Egypt gives to Turkish investments.”

He pointed out that Egypt, under the leadership of President Sisi, has adopted a strategy for localization and attracting foreign capital to the country, which ensures that Turkish investors who flock to Egypt benefit from their investments in the country.
