Hundreds killed on Tuesday after Israel shells parts of the Gaza Strip

Gaza hospitals reported that Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday killed over 330 people, with dozens more injured.

The areas east of Shuja’iyya and Zeitoun in Gaza witnessed heavy artillery shelling on Tuesday, according to the Al-Arabiya news channel.

This was preceded on the same day by a woman’s death and other injured civilians after an Israeli helicopter bombed a tent in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to Al-Jazeera channel.

Israel launched new airstrikes against Hamas across Gaza Strip, vowing to “escalate military force” after talks on the release of more hostages stalled, according to Sky News.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced in a statement that it had instructed the army to target Hamas throughout Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered the military to take “strong action” against Hamas in Gaza in response to the movement’s refusal to release the hostages and its rejection to all ceasefire proposals.

“Israel will act against Hamas with increased military might from now on,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.
