US issues Israel travel warning, urges citizens to depart

The US State Department issued an updated travel advisory Friday morning for Tel Aviv, authorizing the departure of non-essential government employees and their families from the US Mission in Israel due to security risks, according to reports by the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

The statement noted that the decision was made in light of recent security incidents and an updated situational assessment.

The advisory further indicated that the US Embassy may impose additional restrictions or prohibit the movement of American employees and their families to specific areas within Israel, the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, and the occupied West Bank.

American citizens currently residing in Israel have been urged to consider departing the country while commercial flights remain available.

This travel warning follows an intensive round of talks between the United States and Iran, which concluded Thursday in Geneva without reaching any agreements. Tehran rejected US demands for a complete halt to uranium enrichment on its territory and the dismantling of key nuclear facilities.

Simultaneously, US President Donald Trump has ordered an unprecedented mobilization of forces in the Middle East, including aircraft carriers and submarines. The White House warned that in the absence of a diplomatic agreement, a military strike remains a possibility in the near future.
