An Iranian Foreign Ministry official said Sunday that Tehran has reached an understanding with Oman regarding arrangements for transit through the Strait of Hormuz, but noted that “these arrangements will not be implemented unless the US fulfills its commitments.”
He added that Iran is “not in a hurry” to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, pointing out that the strait remains closed and no ship can pass through it without coordination with Iranian authorities.
