Judicial sources: State Security CD contains unequivocal orders to kill demonstrators

Judicial sources have said a CD that public prosecutors discovered on Sunday in a branch of the State Security Investigation Bureau contains recordings of phone calls between Assistant Interior Minister Ahmed Ramzy and a number of security leaders in various Egyptian cities.

The calls reveal relayed messages from Interior Minister Habib al-Adly to Ramzy with instructions on how to manage the demonstrators.

In one call, according to the sources, Ramzy told the leader of the Suez Central Security Department to fire on demonstrators. In another call, Ramzy ordered the security official to withdraw his troops from the streets.

Other calls disclose Ramzy’s objection to al-Adly's orders to shoot demonstrators. “The man is giving terrible orders, sitting in his office. I will not shoot at anyone,” he said in a phone call.

The sources said a technical committee will transcribe the CD and send it to the State Security Prosecution for investigation.
