Sources said Attorney General Abdel Meguid Mahmoud ordered investigation into the privatization of 19 public-sector companies during the tenure of former Investment Minister Mahmoud Mohi Eddin, who was responsible for the privatization process at the time.
Mahmoud will study reports by the Central Auditing Organization, which had attended the general assemblies of those companies when they were sold.
