British students of al-Alsson school celebrated a week ago two fundraisers organized by al-Alsson Leadership Programme. The program requires 20 hours of community service within a charity organization. The students held two fundraising events in support of Operation Smile, an organization for children suffering from cleft lip or cleft palate. The organization helps children with facial deformity and puts back a smile on their faces.
"It is an honor to have worked with such a fantastic organization; it has been a complete life changing journey for me,” says Sara al-Borai, a student and a member of the al-Alsson Leadership program.
The students held a sports day fundraiser day, organized a barbecue a few days later, and sold burgers and hotdogs to their fellow colleagues.
